Ms. Knuth advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, from hire to termination. Her experience crosses multiple industries, and she has worked with businesses of all sizes, from international corporations to start-up companies, to help them achieve their strategic objectives through effective human resource management and proactive compliance measures.
An experienced litigator, Ann defends employers in state and federal courts against claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract and statutory violations, including Title VII and wage and hour class and collective actions. She has litigated numerous restrictive covenant and trade secret cases. Additionally, Ann represents employers before the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and other state agencies.
Ann has extensive experience representing management in all phases of labor relations, including union organizing drives, representation elections, initial and successor contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and strike/picketing disputes.
She is licensed in Ohio and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, as well as in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third, Sixth and Ninth Circuits.
In addition to serving as a Mentor for College Now Greater Cleveland, Ann is the President of the Board of Directors of the Broadway School of Music and the Arts, a nonprofit community school located in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.
