Attorney

Amy L. Kullik

It’s important not only to advise on the law but also to take into account the business needs of the client, their industry environment, and other factors that impact decision-making. That helps us develop solutions that make sense not just legally, but also for that particular client’s business.

Ms. Kullik is the Chair of the firm’s Litigation Group. In addition to a successful general litigation practice, Amy has administrative and litigation experience in all aspects of public and private sector labor and employment law. She provides in-house counsel services to employers of all sizes, addressing issues such as discipline and discharge, disability accommodation and medical leave issues, and handling difficult employees. She guides employers in taking proactive steps to minimize potential liability and protect confidential information through drafting and implementation of employment contracts, policies, and handbooks. Amy has developed training and compliance programs for companies on topics including interviewing and hiring, performance management, discrimination and harassment, and workplace health and safety.

Amy defends employers at the administrative level as well as in state and federal courts and has extensive experience litigating wrongful termination lawsuits, wage and hour, collective and class actions, violations of non-competition agreements, breach of contract, and workplace harassment and retaliation claims.

Amy is currently admitted in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, U.S District Court, Southern District of Ohio, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Amy frequently lectures on employment law and mentors law students and new lawyers.

Amy and her husband Chip reside in Westlake with their young son and their black lab. When not attending various CYO sporting events, Amy enjoys wine, traveling and reading. Amy is proud to serve as a Board Director of the Cleveland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
