Edward (Ed) Patton is a seasoned trial attorney with a focus on Corporate and Business Law, Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense, Toxic Tort, and Asbestos Defense. He offers strategic counsel to clients on international import and export activities, including establishing corporate compliance programs for international trade and NAFTA initiatives.

Ed boasts significant knowledge and experience in governmental compliance, encompassing licensing procedures for international exports, product marking procedures for importation and U.S. Customs, and assisting clients with NAFTA compliance, International Trade Commission matters, and customs audits. With extensive practice before state and federal courts in Ohio, as well U.S. Customs and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, NAFTA, and other U.S. governmental agencies that regulate international trade, Ed is a trusted advisor in navigating complex legal landscapes.

For over 15 years, Ed has defended clients in asbestos litigations matters, securing numerous successful outcomes and summary dispositions.

Outside of work, Ed is a voracious reader, a long-time golfer, and passionate rugby fan. He also enjoys home rehabilitation projects. He and his wife Annemarie, along with their children, reside in Lakewood, Ohio.
