Labor and Employment

The Labor and Employment Group represents public and private sector employers in all aspects, including proactive employment training and counseling, collective bargaining negotiations, protection of trade secrets, enforcement and defense of non-competition agreements, employment benefits, unfair labor practices, workers’ compensation, wage and hour issues, workplace safety, and employment litigation.

We proactively counsel clients to prevent costly litigation and act as an extension of their HR departments, advising on matters such as hiring, discipline, investigations, and discharge, family leave, education and school law, discrimination, and executive employment contracts.

Our team has extensive experience with employment-related claims, including discrimination, unlawful retaliation, workplace harassment, FMLA-related issues, intentional tort, unfair representation under the Labor Management Relations Act, and wage and hour claims under both state federal laws. We also guide clients in ensuring safe and healthy work environments, addressing OSHA compliance, air quality, and noise monitoring.
