Scott Simpkins brings over 25 years of legal experience to his practice, which began in complex commercial litigation and has evolved to include general counsel and transactional services. His litigation experience encompasses contract disputes, labor and employment issues, municipal and public entity matters, construction, real estate, and general commercial litigation. Scott’s work in these areas spans from client consultations and pre-suit negotiations to prosecuting claims and defenses at both trial and appellate levels, including appearances before the Ohio Supreme Court and federal courts of appeals. Additionally, he has represented clients before a wide range of federal, state, and local administrative and legislative bodies.

In addition to his litigation work, Scott serves as a trusted advisor to business and public entities, providing general counsel and transactional services across a variety of corporate matters. His experience includes negotiating and advising on employment, construction, real estate and leasing, and regulatory compliance issues.

Mr. Simpkins is admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and serves as an assistant arbitrator for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
